Considering buying this truck. Anybody know if this rust can be fixed? Or should I look for a different truck? Thanks.

(Nearly) All rust is repairable. It just depends on how much you're willing to spend to have it done. That may be just surface rust under the paint, or it might be full-blown body cancer that'll have to be cut out and have new sheet metal welded in.

Personally, I'd pass on it. Even if they're offering a hell of a deal on the truck, you might be looking at a couple of grand for a body shop to put that right.

$.01 (My advice isn't worth the full two cents)

The body looks pretty rusty, how is the frame? Personally I'd find something else, but I hate doing body work.

Haven't checked out the truck yet. This is the pic the owner sent me. Just wanted to see the general consensus of the rust, since it's one of the only extra cabs around here. Seems like the rust might be more trouble than it's worth.

If you want a beater trail rig, and by some miracle the frame and driveline are solid, and the truck is cheap enough, it might do.

But if you're serious about 'can it be fixed', look for a different truck.

Ok. Would a rust converter help at all or would it be a waste?

Whereever you see rust bubbles in the photo, there will be 3x the rust underneath when you dig in. I wouldnt even think about it until a pro frame inspection is done
