Rock Sliders for 05+ Tacoma's

Sorry for the confusion, but actually all my sliders are good for protection. The kickout design sliders are just more for the weekend warrior offroader who will be on tight trails and will need the kickout to help keep the truck away from rocks and trees.
The ones Nimitz has are the kickout sliders.
My "Standard" Sliders are still great for protecting your doors and rocker panels, they just dont have kickout. Hope that helps explain the difference.

 

My Hybrid Sliders im going to make will give great protection and will be stronger. Cant wait to get them done!

 

Went and hung out with Evan today while he drilled my frame for my sliders. He knocked that out quickly and we gabbed about our trucks and work. He does a great job on his products, so you better get yours ordered before he gets to busy.

How much are you going to ask for your hybrids kick out bolt on?

 

I'm not sure yet.. The Prototype I may sell for $320
But when I start selling them I will have to figure out a good price.. But they will be more than my Round tube sliders.

Hey Evan, how do you recommend drilling the frame for the slider install? I have it tacked on but want to finish up the install and do it right.

Hi, I usually use a jack under the drill, acts like a upside down drill press. Good bits and lube helps alot.

 

I did all of mine by hand (no jack) in less than an hour using a decent drill bit and some oil. The last one was the hardest because the bit wore down.

 

Dang, and your arm wasn't tired or sore?

 

All of them went pretty quick. I didn't really feel it until the drill bit wore out.

My corded drill has a weird handle and I couldn't get it to sit on the jack without slipping.

Placed my order for a set of bolt-on hybrid kick-outs last Thursday. Looking forward to seeing them on my truck. Very excited!

 

Headed down this weekend to pick up my hybrids. Pics to follow. Looking forward to bolting them on and putting them to use!

 

As promised, here are my M-Fab Hybrids installed. Hung out with Evan (@ETaco23) on Sat and had him drill the holes for me. I cleaned the sliders, applied etching primer, 1 can of spray bedliner for texture on the tubes, and 2 coats of Rustoleum Satin Black. I think they turned out nice. Honestly I know they look a little funny on a non-lifted truck, but I needed some protection for an upcoming Moab trip and like the way a stock-ish height truck handles (I have 2016 coils/shocks upfront for 1.5" lift)

 

I think it looks great. Nice truck you have there and give it up for Evan making such a quality product.
