Basically I'm trying to install these pods.
I really want them them behind my bumper like the first picture so it's harder to steal or see them.

I don't how to make to a mount to mount it where it is in the first picture picture. If someone with a 1st gen could take a look at their truck and see if they see a way I'd appreciate it. Or if someone's already done it that'd be even better

I've learned here and there from watching and helping friends. Not nearly enough to do anything myself though. And I'm not properly equipped to do anything like that.

I used a dremel to cut the plastic so i could mount the pods upside down in that spot. Mounted to the bottom of the steel bumper. Looks like upper lip of plastic is thicker on 01+ so you could bolt some 1" channel to steel bumper then mount the pods upside down to that.

You could do so.ething like I did for my 20". Requires a drill, vice, hammer, hacksaw. And perforated flat stock pieces cut down to whatever length. You could do a whole section like I Did. Maybe an extra support bracket in the middle going to the radiator support to help it be more sturdy. Or two small sections attached to those tabs in valence alone. There's other ways too I'm sure. Just an idea. But anything custom like this is gonna require some creativity, and some tools. Unless you have someone else do it for you. I lost access to tools I had so I had to go buy all the mentioned tools I used. Harbor freight has cheap stuff and fair quality. Ace hardware for the other supplies like bolts and steel. Could always do what this guy did. Just saw this. Mount them directly to th3 plastic. But they'd probly be super wobbly.

Then there's this method too I recently found on here. In considering changing to this method eventually. Hoping it'll make my light more secure and sturdier. Still got a little shake on mine on bumpy roads. Could do these L brackets with long ubolts. Then attach a beam across and mount your pods to that. That way you can adjust the depth. Probly be fine with just one ubolt each side.
