Do you have any spacers? Those wheels are really sticking out

It sounds like from his other posts, that he's running either 0, or small +offset rims, with a 1 1/2" spacer.

Just sharing my experience with that setup since it's not a great one.

When I bought my 2010 2WD 5 lugger, it came with some killer 15" rims I wanted to keep but tiny tires I didn't. Dont know exact width or offset but i'd guess 8" wide and pretty positive since the tires stick out 1-2 inches. Here's my impressions with NO LIFT.

    • 31's rub at full lock so you'll need to shave some plastic.
    • Once you feel great in the city and take it offroad youll bottom out and rub on even the slightest articulation or bounce (front and back). There just aint enough space between top of tire and fender.
    • Very underpowered but I'd trade that for better MPG...
    • ...MPG highway is about 14-16 depending on how flat it is. Much less than the 20 I got on my V6 Xterra with 33's.
    • Uphill highways are the death of these trucks. You're either speeding up and revving high or slowing down because you're in too low of a gear. No way to keep a constant speed which is annoying for long period of time.
    • KO2's are awesome though. I can go up silt doing 2 mph (so I dont bottom out!) and still not lose grip. Much better performance than I remember from my 33" KO's.
Overall not too stoked on it, woulda much rather got a V6. I got a great deal on the truck so i'll probably resell it before sinking more on lifting, regearing, etc...

Did you adjust your milage calculation for the bigger tires? With 31 inch tires you'll go about 330 miles when the odometer reads 300miles

Still good for a truck! Unless you never go over 2500rpm, that's the only way to get close to 20mpg
