Our winter project is to refurbish our 5 x 8 ft. garden trailer. We use it for hauling many things--furniture, firewood, mulch, gravel, etc.

The plan is to strip off all the hardware, wiring, and boards, and then touch up any rust. I'd like to rewire it and relocate the spare tire.

    Will post some pics.

Got any cool suggestions for customizing?

What kind of decking does it currently have?

LED's all around, maybe wire up a battery and outlet(s) so you can use electric tools wherever you are like a weed whacker, hedge trimmer, vacuum, etc?
Run a trickle charger to it when parked.

We do have a solar panel on the shed. I could park the trailer by the shed and use the shed's solar system to charge the trailer.

It is your trailer you know just what you use it for.

What does it need to make using it easier for you Work more efficient??

I would rebuild the Hubs !! New wheel bearings and seals

I could almost agree with that now after my neighbor managed to drive through the side of my shop .

No more Alcohol allowed on the property !!

The scary part was he had his baby girl in the truck and just left here in there after crawling out of the mess he made and stumbling home.

Good thing I was home and called his wife.

As he had no clue where his truck was or how he got home or just what he had done.

I just got finished paying off the repair of the building.

Trailer is dismembered and in the garage. Snomagedon interrupted all progress.

No kegerator but will definitely have duel beer bottle openers and may have a cooler.

    Cheers!

Maryland weather is warm enough today to work in the garage with a propane heater. The neighbor and I were going a little stir crazy after all the snow, so we busted out the electric router. We used a hinge router bit to recess six D-rings into the new floor boards.

Next we used a straight router bit to make a channel in the outside edge of the outer most floor boards. The channel will hold the wires for the side- and tail-lights running the length of the trailer. The original setup had these wires running in a small diameter metal pipe on top of the floorboards. That pipe was constantly getting hit with the shovel and rake when we emptied loads of mulch and rock from the trailer. We are permanently removing the pipe and putting the wires inside the boards.

2" hitch mount on the front to store your ball mount. Also, you can slide a winch cradle into it to winch heavy items in it.

Two coats of Rustoleum sure makes it look nicer. Probably will do two more coats before reassembly.

    Feiro for the win!

Nice job on the trailer. We did the same thing with our parts trailer. Pulled wheels off, rebuilt hubs, wire wheeled the wheels and painted, picked up a LED light kit, need to install. Going to replace floor boards. I cut the back gate off, made new pins and now the gate is removable. Going to put a 2" receiver on it for endless options.

Best thing I ever did. Makes loading pallets from the rear with a fork lift a breeze.
