    Yeah that was the exact same thing that was happening with mine. I almost felt as if it was slipping. It was starting to make me nervous.

    More engine torque. More weight. What happens to a stock clutch on the manual transmission? Similar difference.

    Lol. Yeah. It's not a cheap one. You could probably have a shop do it for you given that they have a high quality scanner for not all that much. A cheapie scanner will definitely not do the trick as those only cover basic functions. I really had to search deep in the scanners functions to find it. Disconnecting the battery and clearing the PCM memory will not cut the trick though.

    Are you suggesting that manually shifting will help the tranny learn in lieu of a reset? I have noticed that my 4-5 shift is better when I do it manually. The computer adjusting shifts is new to me.

    I used to smack the auto over in to 4 when I wanted to downshift and haul ass. then shift it over to D once I got the power I wanted. It made me feel like I had a manual but I never noticed faster 5-4 shifting if I just stepped on it. Although, I had a lead foot from day one in both trucks, so my ECU probably was already used to faster shifts

    Hey guys im hoping someone can help me with this, i just got a 1st gen (grey) TRD supercharger (for $500) but i know that it wont work on my 95 tacoma without either and ECU swap to a 97' or installing URD 7th injector and tuning? Is that correct? And does anyone have a part number for the correct 97' ecu or have one they would be willing to sell? Thanks!

    You will need the 97 ecu regardless. You need it to have the same transmission type (auto or manual) and the same drive output (2wd or 4x4). Mine was 5vz/auto/4x4 so that's what I got. That is how you determine which ecu code you need. Dont get the 98, different pinout.

    I picked one up at a local junkyard. They even let me test it on my truck first. (Not all will).
