A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
I was able to get good alignment numbers on my 2011 DCLB w/OME 886's, but at droop the stock UCA was hitting the coil so I installed LR UCAs for the extra clearance.

Kinda happy about how she turned out, with the COs set at Zero the ride feels very much like my drift spec 350Z that was equipped with full Tanabe suspension . . . Well except with more more ground clearance and the desert running at a lil bit of speed.

I've been a member on here for a while but never really post anything. Just drool over all the bada$$ trucks I see and get ideas. I finally took the plunge and got my lift/rims/tires after driving around stock for over 2 years. I needed new tires so what better time then now right! I went with the 6" Rough Country lift, 35x12.5 Toyo Open Country M/T, and 18" Fuel Maverick rims. Previous upgrades are Smittybilt step bars, bull bar, debadged but blacked out side emblems. Will be getting bull bar powder coated black to match step bars soon.IMG_20150917_181433247.jpg IMG_20150911_130443351_HDR.jpg IMG_20150909_171136801.jpg

this is a common question, and the quick answers are not the full story. rim sizing can make a diff between working and not working. too much backspacing on rim and it will hold the tires tight near the uca's.

remember this, small backspacing and the wheel swings, a lot of back spacing and the wheel pivots. too much or too little can lead to issues. tire & rim specs along with lift and body changes will dictate what will and wont work.

So I've got the 3" Rough Country lift, 285/70/17 BFGoodrich KO2's and 1.25" Spydertraxx wheel spacers. According to the original thread "All front-end lift kits over 1.5″ should also include a differential drop kit."
Is this something I should get? I understand the Rough Country lift is fairly basic, but what other changes do I "need" to make? Such as possibly changing UCA's? I'm just not sure what might be needed or not, after reading this original post I'm afraid maybe I haven't "properly" lifted mine. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I would recommend getting coils also OME 887 or 885. As far as I understand you would be putting the factory coil under stress constantly. By "preloading" I believe that's the proper term. @619HiluxLover

Do you think it would be ok to install the 3" Toytec coils on my stock struts? They're only about 8000 miles old. Going to replace UCAs as well, just wondering if its necessary to upgrade to 5100s, etc.

    Wouldn't you like to know!
I'm running a set of Icon rear AAL with the stock leaf pack and it holds up pretty well surprisingly. No sag in the rear even with my topper. Also you may want to checkout www.headstrongoffroad.com they have great prices and know the products well. I think you can piece together a similar kit for less. I was able to get everything for under $1k but I bought 2nd hand springs up front that saved some coin and I got the shocks and UCA's with 20% off coupon from ebay during the black friday sale.
