The issue with the Flexalite is they don't sit flush with the rad. I'm looking for a way to fix this currently.

The key to the flexalite fans is to have a nice shroud that fits the rad and the fans. It'll make them WAY more efficient and useful.

I would never run efans without a correct shroud. They won't work well enough otherwise. Seen it done time and time again.

Yeah, I'm going to have to work on that. Was messing with it this morning and realized the rad, despite be advertised as Alu core is actually Cu core so that'll have to go back.

The rubber gasket around the fan sits on the two side supports which leaves about a 1/2 - 1/4" of space between the radiator and the gasket. So I can either trim the side supports (which will get dangerously close to the fan mounting holes), or trim the gasket around the part of the fan that sits over the side support.

Unfortunately that, and pretty much everything else will have to wait. Was helping our church install some ducting (we are renovating an old child care center into a church) and I sliced my right arm open on a metal edge. It wasn't a big cut but it went all the way to the muscle. Only six stitches but because it's located right on my tricep, behind my elbow, I'm pretty much can't bend my elbow for two weeks.

Yeah an aluminum sheet shroud might help that issue. Could use some closed cell foam around the gaps. Looking forward what you come up with if I ever go back to efan

The KoyoRad I ordered was fake. Fucking Chinese. Sending that crap back and going to order a Delphi from a reputable dealer here local (1800Radiator). KoyoRad doesn't make the Tacoma model anymore :(

That will prevent spark. However, the injectors will still be pumping in fuel and will continue to do so. A lot of unburnt fuel will be in the cylinders. Best method is to pull the fuel pump relay.

A good deal, didn't even think of the fuel pump running.

What I probably should have done was put a bit of oil in the pump before installing. But no worries, I need to pull the oil sensor to put on some thread sealant and will just pour a bit of oil down the opening there (leads right to the pump). That should keep it from eating itself when I turn it over and help seal the pump gears for better lift.

Got a bit of word done this week.

    New Alternator:

Some electrical work getting done. @Blackdawg, which cable did you upgrade with the new alternator? Below are the two cables from the back of the alt to the fuse box, and fuse box to the battery:

Before I go any further, I need to clean up the wiring, reloom, etc...

So Monte, just re-read your post. You went from the Alt straight to the battery (with a breaker) and kept the wire from the batter to the fuse box stock, correct? The wire from the alt to the fuse box was removed.

    Correct.

Don't run the alt through the fuse box. The stock alt fuse is 80amps haha you'll just pop it. I left the stock wire from the stock alt in my harness and just taped up the one end and unbolted in in the fuse block. Makes for an easy swap if I need to swap in the stock one on the trail

Gotcha. What breaker did you use? I might get one as well.

Glad to see you are still going buddy. I checked your youtube channel and didn't see anything new. Was worried you gave up. Is the truck getting quick?

If by quick you mean sitting on jack stands, then yes, its getting super quick! But in all honesty, I'm going to keep power very conservative.
