OK: I did my due diligent searches here and in the suspension area of the forum with no luck. ICON: can you provide directions for the R/R of the uniballs in my billet UCAs please? Do I any special equipment for the removal?

    Hi,

My apologies for the delayed response, I have been absent from TW for a couple of weeks. You will need our uniball service kit, part #614500 and access to a press to remove the old bearings and press in the new. The bearings in the billet UCAs are pressed in at a 7° angle, so it can be tricky to hold them at the proper angle to get them in and out.

Hey icon. I have a question in regards to my uniball post design, coupled with the MaxTrac spindles. I have noticed other uniball posts with a different shape which causes the post to sit in position on top of the spindle, as opposed to sliding into the mounting hole. I will attach pictures. I was told that by using the wrong post, over time the cast spindle will become worn down and eventually the post will become loose? Any input is appreciated. Thanks

    Hi Krismassie15,

Having a full OE style taper, like the one we use in our UCAs, increases strength compared to the other type that sits on top of the spindle. The full taper makes better contact with the inside of the spindle to prevent movement that can wear down the spindle and allow slop to develop.
