Hey TW, I know there's some great things our members have done in the past, and I'm hoping I can connect you guys to a man in need of our help.
I was cruising Facebook and I saw the below post from this 'LiberateVets' guy (his name is Charles). I have never met Charles - he is a friend of my cousin, Rob.
From what i understand, Charles is going through PTSD and has a lot of medical bills to shoulder for his wife in the hospital. Today, he has been presented with a notice to vacate in 24 hours due to damages to (what I assume is an apartment). From the talk online, this is unlawful, but the sheriff's deputy served the papers and is backing the landlord.

    I'm asking the following:
    • If you are in the area, can you be available to help Charles move? Do you know of somewhere Charles can stow his household belongings? Do you have a couch for at least a few days? From what I gather, Charles is spending most of his money on medical expenses.
    • Do you have any special abilities that you can lend Charles from afar?
If you can help, please contact Charles at charles@liberatevets.org. Please keep in mind he's going to be homeless by March 25 11:59PM

The damage probably had nothing to do with it. Bend has the tightest housing market in the nation, the landowner probably got a better offer. I know people with six figure incomes living in backyard RV's there...

Yeah, it's definitely not a great place to have this situation happen. If I had any solutions or if he just needed help moving, I'd probably consider the 4 hour drive to help.
