Recently bought another Tacoma, after selling my 05 a year ago or so.
Nice truck! But the cruise control doesn't work. Been doing my research, but can't seem to find much information so far. The truck is a 2007 Extra Cab 4.0 Auto.

    What I know so far:
-If there are any bulbs burnt out, warning lights, check engine lights, etc, the computer will may allow the cruise control to engage.

I checked every exterior bulb on the truck, all are working as needed.

-If the brake pedal actuator/switch is worn, it will allow the pedal to "sag", stopping the cruise from engaging.

Checked the pedal, "pulled up" on the pedal while the truck was running, cruise still won't engage

    -Bad fuse (obviously)

    All fuses are good

Trying to figure out the next step. I read about a TSB for the 2005's for a "corroded/dirty" connector, not allowing the switch to receive voltage.
    I also read this thread:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/cruise-control.23359/
That mentioned an "Add Cruise Mod" thread, that included a test to rule out a possibly needed wire under the steering wheel trim. I can't find said thread, if anyone could point me in its direction!

I've noticed a ton of threads talking about cruise control not working, but most end without a resolution... Any help would be appreciated!!!

My guess is it's either the switch or the spiral cable.

Wait, does it turn on and you can't set it? Or it doesn't even turn on?

For an update, I replaced the cruise control switch itself today and still nothing.
There was a recall on my truck for the spiral cable. The recall was completed in 2013, but I'm not sure what else there is to replace? Not looking forward to doing a spiral cable...

Update, was the spiral cable/clock spring.
