Happy Easter, Peeps ! Hope everyone wins the egg hunting contest today and eats a ton of chocolate. Wait... we're too old for that ? Really ?

Subway... Lou Holtz isn't right about everything. Did you get that nut removed or end up cutting it off ?

Spent last Thursday in bed. Had a minor sore throat, but that was (mostly) an excuse. Really just needed a day off. Got up Friday and felt great. Today, son is sick.

But the good news is, I don't have to waste the day at the in-laws! And since the wife baked cookies, they're all mine! Happy easter everyone.

I can't compete. I'm the one hiding the eggs. However, I have my own stash....:yes::yes:

Getting that nut off is not impossible. Just needs a different approach.

Yeah. I'm gonna take a step back and look at my options. Thanks for all the input team 50+ !!!
Maybe next weekend I'll torch it or grind it off. I need to order a new top hat just in case.

This afternoon is all about my daughter. She's got her driver's permit. Here's the milestone I knew would come, yet was hoping it wouldn't come too soon. Well, it's here.

For our first Father-Daughter driving lesson, we have a choice between Prius or Tacoma. I chose the truck because its a tank :)

6 point sockets are your friend. A wiz wheel without any guards will get right in there and take an angle on the nut to slot it. A cold chisel will turn and spread the nut.

Welcome Lloyd. My name is Lloyd as well. I'm the newb here.

Not a lot of mechanical experience, but have lot's of life experience. As you can see based on my recent posts, I usually get into trouble trying to do something to my truck. The 50's team tries to get me out of it.

    No big tires. Yet.
