I went from a full size to a 2015 TRD Sport to a 2015 Ram.

I really liked my Tacoma but it didn't have a Hemi. Its possible to go down to mid size but it's gonna be tough. Make sure you go on a weekend test drive where you do all your normal activities. I do miss parking the Tacoma though lol. Good luck OP.

Too slow? It's a freaking pickup truck, not a Maserati.

    Too slow?!?!?!?! Really?!?!?!?

    1. It's a pickup truck
    2. It's a good bit faster than many trucks on the road
    3. It's a pickup truck
    4. As mentioned previously, It's not a Maserati.
    5. It's a pickup truck
    6. If you want fast, don't get a pickup truck.

I think it's the power band people are complaining about not the top speed of the truck

Why Maserati? Cmon now... the fastest thing they make only runs a 4.5 0-60 these days and is more luxury focused than track focused... that's "fast" don't get me wrong but it's weak as dishwater in today's supercar market.

@OP, sure get a Tacoma but definitely get a manual transmission if you do. The single most complained about aspect regarding 3rd gen Tacoma's is the automatic transmission.

I agree with you as it pertains to the Tacoma. You do realize though there are some pickup trucks that perform like fast cars. Ford lighting, dodge SR10 500 hp pickup trucks

Yep, it appears so. I figured that guy in the pic was from NC. I was going to ask but saw his location. There are a lot of those for some reason. That generation of Silverados and Tahoes with lowered rear end. Some even put a light bar under the front end of the truck to make up the difference in the lost lighting from the upward facing lights. Then it's the wide wheels, on top of wheel spacers, then skinny tires as well on some.

For the OP, I'd keep my silverado since it's pretty new. I like my Tacoma and have no regrets with it, but it's def not a full size for sure. If you are used to what you have and are happy with it, you may not be so happy going to a mid size. Just have to go test drive a few, not just one, but a few Tacomas on different days to see if you truly like the size and power.
