Wat part from back home?

 

6 days every 3rd week 5 the rest of the time. Min 9.5 hr days. Oh, thanksgiving to Xmas 80-90 hr weeks.
That's not counting school time. Crud. Oh well, gotta make it somehow.

 

No! No spray triflo! Use triflo dry lube. Mucho mas mejor! I'm told the solvent in the spray makes Teflon angry!

Tri-Flow is nothing special, it's just the brand people chose to rave about. Don't get me wrong, it's good stuff. However, it's not the end all be all of lubricant.

Any dry lube with teflon will do the trick. I use Finish Line. Same stuff I use on my bike AND it's a spray.

But... Triflo smells like bananas.. Gotta be better.. I use the finish line on my bike but in liquid. Never saw the spray. Petroleum based or wax? Thought about Boesheild as well

 

The finish line is petroleum based, but I've read the dry lube is more teflon than petroleum...

I've also use Boeshield with good results. However, the bottle leaked everywhere and I threw it out in a fit of rage.

If Triflo smells like bananas that's just another additive in the ingredients. I like my shit pure =p

 

Would anyone be interested in taking a crack at Walker Valley anytime soonish?

I'll be honest- I am a bit scared of it. When I went a few years back it seemed like something my 4Runner would be capable of, but I have heard it has gotten much worse.

 

For sure. One of my friends said you'll probably get a good bit of pin stripes but its doable without real body damage.

 

Depending when I'd be down. Or more just let me know in advance so I don't work that day.


And tri flow comes in a spray as well. But like you said a Teflon based spray lube between one brand and another is going to do the same thing so buy whatever is cheapest!

 

Pin Stripes are a right of passage.
The same can be said for dents.

I have a good amount of pin stripes but having a silver truck sure helps hide them.

I've been watching a few videos and looks like Jeeps with minor lifts have been going through there.. I think sliders at the very least to go in there, they do have a gate keeper which helps.

 

Run for many years on my previous wrangler, good quality vs cost IMO at the time I purchased. If I didn't care about weight I would definitely purchase again (my Jeep was an armored tank). Now I might opt for the Warn 9.0RC to save some serious weight off the nose.

 

Sweet! I have one. Just waiting for the arb bumper. I just hope it's big enough for a double cab with 2 plate bumpers and skids and all the other extra shit

 

Mine was on an armored TJ. A fully armored DC may be more suited to a 9k winch but the warn 8k should manage the job alright. I managed to drag my armored TJ up inclines through snow bumper deep with so much line out it was nearing the last few wraps on the spool and it took it like a champ. Always did want to upgrade the winch to the synthetic line but never got around to it.

Just noticed you were also in Kirkland, I will have to keep an eye out for the ARB Warn-ed Taco.
