Where have folks been mounting their CB's? I'd like to mount it where the map lights are but I don't want it to look like a very clean install. Anyone know if there is a relocation panel for the map lights? I don't need the sunglasses pods...

My other reasonable option seems to be in the center console. I thought about cutting out the back of the bottom storage space under the HVAC controls but there doesn't seem to be enough clearance behind it before I'd run into the airbox.

    Any ideas/pics/links would be great!

    Thanks for reading.

Mine is in the bottom din of my double din mount. It is an extremely clean looking install. I'll post some pics when I getthe chance.

I've got a CB sitting in my garage, new in the box, because I'm not sure where to put mine either.

I've read threads on these forums and there's really no good place for it in my opinion. I've also thought about the storage cubby under the HVAC knobs but I'm not sure there's room behind there either. Same as @kidthatsirish

Let us know if you find a good place though! I think you and I bought the same CB come to think of it...

I wanted to do the detached face route but knowing my soldering skills suck, I went with the smaller size midland and created a mounting solution instead. But I am really impressed by those who accomplish it. Well Done!!
