Houston 2011 TRD 6spd Tacoma

I have a 2011 TRD DCSB 6 speed. Best thing I did was to trade in my F150 for this truck. It has locking rear end and all the little extras. Love this truck. Not my first Tacoma just happy I got her back.

Things that are done.
HIDS
Full led light swap all lights just not the front turn signals.
Level kit.
2016 wheels.
new steps
3 chamber muffler.
subs and amp
led light bar
Led ditch lights.
upgraded Horns
Rebadge trd logos
ReTint it was to light for me.

This is when i first got it. Stock.


It did have a level kit it. I think 3" in front and maybe 1" in the back.





SO the first thing i did was to take off those UGLY chrome side steps. I need them beacuse of my wife shes 4'10 but not those.


I removed the light bars and from my F150 and put them on here. I put my 30'' in the bumper and the pods on top. Installed CBI ditch light brackets






Then I did my front bumper center black.



Took off those Mountian TRD logos and went with the flag ones.



Installed new horns.
this is before I was all done.




Took off my Factory wheels and installed 2016 wheels on it. Work at Toyota so just one of the nice things about that.


I was scared i was not going to like the way it looks, but I love it.

Got my new steps. Means my wife is happy. lol



Got a lot more to do.

Well I did some new stuff, did the dip on my emblems stuff and was not that happy. Not the first time doing it just not feeling it. So i just got factory black ones from work. Much more happy with it, plus for $22 each cant beat that.
This is the part number so if anyone wants to do the same.




Also did the TRD in the back, That thing it metal. Its nice.

 

I FINALLY got around to putting sound dampening in. sounds so much better, did the whole back wall from the floor to the glass.

 

Well I removed the TRD flag decal on the bed side. It was a little off. So I got these bad boys


I moved the flag under the mirror.

 

I also got a tri fold cover for the bed.


DOing that, now my flag mount would not work. So i made a flag mount for two poles for the hitch.



I also finally got my did my pods in my fog lights. Removed the housing and installed these



With the ditch lights, pod fogs, and 30" light bar in low cover.

Have done a lot in the last couple months. Slowly but surly she is coming along.
Finally made my mind up on the spacer question, and went with 1.25 all around. Love the way it looks.




Also got my rock sliders. I went ahead and got them welded on. I have no plans on selling this truck. If i do then I will cut them off.





A buddy owns a shop that does wraps and makes custom grills. He need a 2nd gen to make templates so I got the hook up.
Made a grill and got my roof wrapped in black. Also did the eye lids on my headlights.

Well did some more to my truck.
In stalled some more lighting. Finally put my 20" in behind my grill and added extensions on my ditch light brackets.

 

Best thing of all I FINALLY got my lift and UCAs. So happy with the way it turned out.






And i got my tail lights in and I love it. It is tinted

So happy with the way these lights look on the truck. The wife even likes them. Thats my test. lol

 

Well I have done a lot since the last time I posted on here. For one moved to Houston. I am now running Treadwrights on my truck. 285/75r16. I love them. Nothing bad to say about them. I towed my wife’s car from Vegas to Houston both where fully loaded I mean fully. Truck did great. Tires did great. I have ditch the duel lights and now have the side beam led pods.
More to come. Just braking it up. I hate reading long post.

 

As you can see. I have also got a shell. Got a killer deal when in Vegas. Just drove to Cali and for 300 I picked it up. Sold my trifold for 200 so for 180 because I painted my self I have a good shell. Top is carpeted and sliders no the side. A before and after of the shell.
O and I wrapped the top of the shell to match the cab. First time and it was a bitch.
I have also made my own 6 switch panel for all my lights. I know s-pod is great but I can make my own that does the same thing.

 

I have replaced the rear factory leaf pack with a 3” lift one and now the truck is all leaf no blocks in the back.

The biggest thing I think I have done is the Snorkel. I finally made my mind up and after moving to Houston with the rains and stuff said why not. I was pretty scared of the cut but it was super easy and glade I didn’t waste money on having a shop do it. Other then that just little mods here and there. Got my hilift mounted and stuff like that. More to come later.
And the last one is the truck as it stands on July 4th 2018.
O I also did flat black vinyl of the flag on both sides of the shell

 

The last two things was that I dipped my wheels. I know I know dip is crap-if not done right. I used a whole can per wheel. It held up great to having a new tire replaced.it couple marks (discount tire jacks)but no pilling. Did the light gloss so it was not flat. Neighbor asked if my wheels got stolen because I had to leave and do some shopping with the wife when the wheels was drying. Lol

I also replaced the tail lights to smoked ones thanks to some jack head that hit my truck and ran.

 

Got a little Halloween fun on the way

 

Finally got my spare back under my truck. Had to do some cutting to fit the 285/75r16s back down there.

 

No more sag!!!
