I did the same when I installed my ome dakar leaf pack. Just have them tuck it up as good as they can for clearance. Wouldn't want to smash up your new tailpipe out on the trail. Also, I went to Express Muffler a long time ago and was satisfied with their work. Looks like they've relocated to Santee since then. I've heard good things about American Muffler as well.

BTW - I'm in Mission Valley too!

I can install them and cheaper than the dealer, just can't reflash the ECU which is pretty inexpensive through the dealership.
I know those SCs are getting hard to find since they quit production.

Nice they must have bought a huge batch of them, and somebody didnt pay the NAZI CARB for certification, lol.

Good to know they are still available, the dealer said they stopped production on them last year.

No large batch ordered necessary http://www.magnusonproducts.com/ makes them, just don't say TRD anymore. And yes, they are working on getting the CARB certs

Perfect! I know Toyota had the certs IIRC, wonder why they require it again if its the same SC as before..CARB is the devil that loves stealing money and coming up with a lot of BS regulations. How does everyone like their new earth friendly gas cans, lol!
I was under the impression that the SCs were no longer produced at all, not just Toyota discontinuing them.
Good to know, thanks for the info.

Does anyone know where I can buy 1/8" black textured ABS plastic. The only thing I found online or from local suppliers was huge sheets. I only need a couple of pieces approx 6"x10" so IE: I could get everything I need out of one 1ft square piece. When I was a kid and worked in car audio shops we always had it on hand but so far I have struck out calling car stereo shops.

I have been working in the SD area (Carlsbad/Escondido) one day a week and I am amazed at the number of kickass Taco's roaming the area. Found a brewpub in Carlsbad that looks pretty tasty---any recommendations?

BTW, if you see my rig and flag me down-----cold beer on me.

Thanks, that is much more affordable than the giant sheets I was seeing from local suppliers.

I'll give them a shout on Monday.

LMK, they may not want to sell any if they are using big sheets to build custom dashes etc ?
