Supercharger maintenance?

Hey guys, I've had my supercharger on for about a year and a half and have put about 10,000 miles on it. Now I know that you can change the oil on your supercharger but I've heard you only need to do that every 75-100k miles. I was wondering if there is anything else I should be doing to keep the thing in good maintenance and get the most out of it.

Or if anyone has a copy of the owner manual that comes with it that would be great too! I lost mine when I moved houses.

Subbed, I bought an '04 with a supercharger last weekend and I'm curious myself.

 

Keep an eye on the belt. They don't seem to last long.

 

Just visually take a look at every now and again? And how long are we talking as far as "not long" 3 years, 5 years?

i just checked my paperwork from the SC and there was nothing regarding maintenance, just install instructions. might want to give a dealer a call and ask them (if they can look it up).
only thing ive done since having it (about a year and a half) is that the coolant was low. id keep an eye on that level.

I think mine lasted about 3 years before he began to show cracks. Don't remember how many miles.

 

i used the factory toyota long life stuff. p/n - 00272-SLLC2 im sure any coolant would do, but since im still under warranty i didnt want to give them any ammo if something else went wrong.

belts dont last forever.
and at $16.50 for the belt and 15min of time every 3 years id say thats rather acceptable.

 

I use the same thing good stuff kind of gel consistency

 

nose cone oil change is every 100k miles fyi.

I'm 95% sure I know where to fill the coolant, but would you mind posting a picture of where to fill it?

 

Usually next to the break fluids reservoir, you can see a black plastic looking can that has a hose connecting to the charger and intercooler

 

And is this the coolant you guys are talking about?

Little black plastic tank upper right in the pic (next to the brake reservoir):

 

NO! that's your engine oil. the cap tells you what kind of oil you need for that. don't put nothing else please.
