Need Help with Transferring a Route to my GPS

    I am stumped. I purchased a trail route (in GPX file format) and am trying to place the route on my GPS. The GPX file had a bunch of waypoints, and the whole trip was broken into 6 separate tracks. I've converted the tracks to routes for export to my GPS. I have a Garmin 2597 GPS and am using Basecamp to convert the track to a Route and export, but everyime I attempt to do it I get an error message on my GPS that the Route cannot be saved to the device. Any suggestions what I'm doing wrong??? Sure could use some help from some of you GPS savvy folks.
