Howdy everyone! So after 10 years about dreaming of owning a Tacoma I finally got one. Picked up an 06 4dr 4x4 off road trim. Truck came on 33/12.5r20. They only put a level on it so the wheels rub bad. I want to run 33s on a 16 or 17 so I'm thinking of doing OME front with toytec AAL rear. Any input or recommendations would be great!

Also, does anyone know of an install shop - I'm out in Peoria

Welcome. Consider having local help before going to a shop. Great community out here of guys that know how to do what you're looking to do. OME products are easy to install, and consider maybe going with a new leaf pack instead of just an AAL especially on an older truck. Check out OME's Dakar leaf pack for a great ride and lift in the rear that is much more practical. Let us know your budget and we can offer lots of help.

What part of Peoria are you in? I'm at 67th Ave and Happy Valley, technically still Peoria.

Thanks everyone! Also, great tip @Seabass. Thats great to know that the community is that strong. I'm near 83rd and Cactus. As far as budget, looking to stay under $1500 on the lift. Figure I can pick up a wheels set later. Since I'm already on some 33s I'd like to be able to clear them.

For less than $1500 shipped, you can get the entire OME setup (front springs, full set of shocks, rear Dakar leafs, longer Ubolts, etc). It's a great matched set.

Having the springs pre-loaded onto the shocks makes things much simpler. But, it can be done during the install without a spring compressor, too. I do it with my 886 coils and they're stiffer than the standard 885 coils.

You use the weight of the truck to do it. Jack stands and a floor jack are all you need. Jack up the truck, put it on jack stands on the frame on a flat spot closest to the front of the truck, then use the floor jack to jack up the lower control arm to decompress the old springs and then to re-compress the new ones. Line up the shock top bolt after the bottom is secured, and bolt it up. It's a safe method, too. Those spring compressors are super dangerous, especially the cheap rentals from Vato Zone or the ones you can buy at Harbor Freight.

When it comes time for the install once you make your selection, holler at me and I'll hook you up with install or we can put a meet-and-greet mod day together so you can be introduced to some local folks, too.

Wow! Thanks a lot. It'd be awesome to get some folks together. Get some brews and grub while working on trucks. No better way to spend a day
