Anyone out there have factory color match body side moldings on your truck. If so any pics and part numbers? Thanks in advance.

Thank you very much for the info. I'll definitely check it out. Funny thing my wife's 2016 RAV4 doesn't have them either but they are available through Toyota. I checked and checked and I can't find anything through Toyota for my 2016 Tacoma. Her car has disc brakes all the way around and our trucks don't despite trim level. Go figure

You are welcome .I think they hope people get more dents and trade their vehicles in sooner because it bothers them . Our Chevy Equinox did not have them available either. Look around the parking lots and see how many newer cars have them . I do not see many anymore .

I have had side body moldings on both my 2012 and 2016 Access Cabs and swear by Dawn enterprises (url: www.dawn-ent.com/Accessories/Body-Side-Moldings/Painted-Body-Side-Molding?sort=p.price&order=DESC)
(ph: (800) 548-4867)They are a good, reliable product, easy to install and 1 & 1/2 inches wide. They stand
by their product. I also have their product on the wife's 2013 Avalon. Suggestion, do not install them mid
door height. they should be placed right on the curve on the lower part of the door. If you place them at
mid door height, most car doors will strike your door much lower. And, the appearance is much better.
Check Dawn Enterprises out, you won't regret it. I am in no way affiliated with/nor am I employed by Dawn Enterprises; I am simply a VERY satisfied customer.

Riders' side view.jpg You have to look real close to see the Side Body Molding. Dawn Enterprises does a good job of matching the paint. Those are Remick running boards

They look real nice, but your right, putting them in the middle would seem to do much and looks funny to me. I agree on your placement. Did you have to modify them at all since you placed them where they should be

NO, They are just the right length as shipped. Get a roll of good blue painters' tape and a straight edge and you are all set.
A black or white China (Grease) pencil will help a lot in positioning. The molding comes with strong 3M tape already affixed
so all you have to do is pull the backing off at stick it where you want it. I enlisted the help of my bride (of 48 years) and it
was a snap.Oh, I wiped the area down good with alcohol before I used their paint prep solution (comes in a crushable ampule
that has a fiber "brush on one end". It helps prepare the painted surface for the adhesive on the molding.

one other thing - neither Dawn Enterprises nor SportWing (Ebay vendor) tell you whether the leading points should go up or down
so that you have to decide for yourself. You can put both ends up or down or, one end up and the other end down. Just make sure
both sides are the same. I first ordered from SportWing for my 2016 and got 1 inch with each end pointed so I sent them back. I
then found the shipping docs from 2012 and called Dawn. Got just what I had on my 2012 and at a better price.

Those Romiks are "experienced" they are off my 2012 and served me well.In fact, they're a little worn, but stainless steel always wears
well. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Just one more tip.The outside temp. makes a difference when you should put them on . The directions will tell you what is best but I think it has to be at least 70 degrees and under 90 for it to work best. Also once the 3m tape touches the body thats it . I doubt it is going to come off to move it . I read about a guy that was a skeptic on how well it would hold. He put a rear wing on a new corvette with just the 3m tape and it held just fine at over 130 mph. . He was sold.

Fastlaners - Here are some more pix of the side body moldings in an area of the Taco's door where they will provide the most protection. And, as you can see, they are in fact 2 & 1/2 inches wide.20160617_112622[1].jpg
