It's not fun, but it's doable in a weekend. Probably took me a total of 8 hours.

    Basically:
Remove all wires and harnesses and crap from top of engine
    Remove valve covers
    Removed radiator
    Remove fan
    Remove water pump
    Remove alternator
    Remove all pulleys
    Unbolt AC compressor
    Unbolt main pulley (need impact)
    Remove a bunch of bolts
    Remove timing cover
    Clean
    Scrape away all gaskets
Lay down bead of black RTV at spec width
Line up crankshaft key before hand so the cover slips right over and torque everything evenly to spec before the silicon sets up.
    Then do everything in reverse

If you've ever done a timing belt change its a pretty similar process, just a little more involved since this cover seals the front of the engine lol

I didn't get a chance to. By the time I saw it, he was pulling away. (I blame the chicken and Berger cookies distracting me.)

Hmm. i want your guys opinions. debating between color matching my shell, or leaving it gold and painting my wheels and other stuff to match. this would also make my truck look like a Subi.... Other idea is to colormatch the cap and go with grey OEM spare wheels and paint all the other stuff grey as well.

Also, if you have a 16" steel spare wheel like this: photo1_007516f4f02fa61f2324a6f936b4f96a8f71b580.jpg Ill give you $55 for it and ill come pick it up

Gold cap? Too gaudy, but you'd be accepted in Balto City!

Color match it or bedline it black.

I can't decide on matte bronze konig six shooters or matte black Level 8 MK6s

Just found this sitting in a yard in highlandtown. Looks like it's been sitting there a while. I left a note with my # on the front door asking if it's for sale.

Any chance i'll need ball joints at 52300 miles? I'm doubtful.

Hope my front alignment bolts don't break when i get an alignment after this suspension install

I'm ordering the Axle seal, the EGCS bushing, and new moog outer tie rod ends on friday. Just wondering if there is anything else i should get just in case

Hey fellas, introducing myself to TW Maryland page. I have a 16 OR on the way this month. I've always had yotas so not new to the game. Currently in Bowie but from Northern California. Looking forward to meeting up and also gaining some knowledge from you guys. Here are my other rides
