Yup it opens up so much space it's crazy that Toyota limited it so much.

I wonder if this will fit 3rd gen too. If anyone is local to me, we can do a test for with mine.

Big Brown made its delivery, fit was perfect. I believe that the bolt fit issue is caused by the bend up at the top, if it was deeper the holes would fit better. My top bolts are tight to the bottom of the hole, but fit fine.

Ive only noticed one problem with the panel. The upper bolt holes where the seat backs lock are about an 1/8 of an inch to high. I have managed to drill out the holes enough to allow the bolts to go in smooth and not rub against the panel. Will post pics here in a little bit.

What steps did you take for painting yours other than shaking a rattle can? I thought aluminum was hard to keep the paint on it.. TIA

Just cleaned with soap and water. Then used Rustoleum truck bed liner. That stuff sticks to anything. If I was going to use something else I'd primer first then paint.

Installed mine last night. Put a layer of carpet and sound deadener behind it. Only had to do some minor filing on two holes because of the carpet running under the panel. Now to get more pouches.
