so im looking to lift my tacoma around 3"...wish i could get something super nice but a lot of that is a pretty penny...was considering the Rouch Country 3" suspension lift kit for it. I've read some good and some bad reviews...any thoughts on this? i was also considering buying the Bilsteins 5100 series shocks because you can adjust the height on those but haven't gotten any confirmation on whether or not those would work on a 2016 Tacoma. This is my first Taco so im not super familiar on all the parts quite yet...thanks for the help!!

please stay away from block-type lifts. Icon's, Bilstiens's, Fox's, Kings, OME, all are good and run from 1200.00-well over 4,000.00 so depends on your budget. Don't forget with a 3" lift your gonna need UCA's and possibly a diff-drop(there are mixed opinions on this). You can go AAL in the rear, however the best route is probably a full leaf pack, such as Dakar's with one overload removed. Headstrrong offroad has a very good reputation for helping make the right decision based on what your needs are. Give em a call.

i've heard mixed reviews on rough country's 3" lift and Pro Comp as well...my truck is a 2wd so im not doing anything real rough, just basic off roading and trails...that's why i was looking at this, cheap and improves the look. I was looking at the bilsteins 5100 series but can't confirm if they'll fit a 2016. every site has it up to 2015.

take a look at the Old man emu group buy, and the all pro UCA group buy going on right now. that's probably the cheapest (quality) setup you're going to find right now. Lots of folks have the old man emu setup and love it.

that I cannot tell you. I have a 4x4 and it fit on mine. I would assume just about everything should be the same for a 6 lug

i was told they wouldn't...hmm..but that's good to know. I'd love to do something very similar to that. Thanks for letting me know. Would it make any difference that my truck is a 2wd? Sorry not the most technical guy and it's my first tacoma. MY buddy knows a ton and has done all his own work on his tacoma so he'll be the one helping me with all this once he's back in town.

if anything having a 2wd will make it much easier bc you dont have to worry about front axle angle and all that stuff. those 5100's will work great and are adjustable
