Can you do the 5100's in the rear with a progressive aal and leave the overload leaf in? Or aren't those shocks long enough?

I have 5100s on the back with a .5" custom AAL with the overload spring still in. I'm not having any issues but my truck is a St Queen/mall crawler.

Can anyone chime in here? I'm eventually going to go to the Dakar full leaf pack. AAL suck and I still get sag when I'm fully loaded with cap, camping gear and a bike rack with four bikes off the hitch.

I am running 5100's in the rear with a set of progressive AAL's. Took out the overload springs at first and ran like that for a few months, then put the overloads back in underneath the AAL's. Have done some pretty good flexing offroad and haven't noticed any detrimental effects so I presume they are fine. You can also get the 5100's in an extended version, but if you need to go that far you probably need to install extended brake lines as well.

Thanks for all the help guys. I order a set of Dakar leaf packs and I'll see how that goes. I'll run them stock first and if they are too stiff I'll remove the 3 leaf.
