Sure did, that screw part of what ever i ran over was through the tire. I was right next to a firestone when this happened so i was able to get it patched right away.

    Hey all,

I'm in the market for some tires at the moment.. I've had my eyes on these KO2's for a while now, and I think I'm decided on picking up a set, however, I'm really curious to see what type of mileage you guys are getting out of these tires? My question is in reference to their wear guarantee/warranty, not mpg.. When i visit tirerack.com I usually see some tires with a 50-60k warranty note, but with the KO2's, I haven't seen such info..

I understand that the answers will vary as we all drive differently and with different road conditions, but I just wanted to get a general idea on how many miles people are getting out of their KO2's before showing any significant wear or issues.

Since my truck is my daily driver, I'm almost certain that I will be spending 85-90% on-road, and try to hit some light trails/fire roads on the weekends.. Being that my truck is a PreRunner, I don't see myself doing any extreme trails..

Any input is greatly appreciated.. thanks in advance!!:cheers:

Hey I been running 285/70/17 ko2's for about a month now. They ride like a dream on the freeway. And as far as a tread wear warranty, most manufacturers will not warranty a LT tire.(Light Truck) tires have a stiffer side wall than regular passenger tires do. But don't let that turn you away from the ko2's. These tires are far from cheap made. I also heard from some that the tread wear is excellent. I would highly recommended the ko2's. I doubt you will have any regrets once you feel the way they respond and handle. I hope this information helps with your decision. Good luck and keep on truck'n.

Right on! Thanks for the great info @slickrick 72284 , I appreciate it!:thumbsup:

Im sure they're excellent tires as they have a long history and a lot of great reviews here and other websites.. I just want to make sure that I'll get more than 30-40k miles out of them since they're expensive..

I know I will get varying answers to my question since we all have different driving styles and terrains, but can anyone else who daily drive their rigs and hit light trails shine some light my way? Keep the great info coming guys! Thanks

I've had great luck with mine. 10,000+ miles of mostly highway and they're still showing their side-lug injection tits. I doubt it's anything more than 1/32 worth of wear in that amount of time. These E-rated tires are way overkill for our trucks and we don't really wear them quickly as a result.

I went to 2 local tire shops today to get a price quote.

tire shop # 1 quoted me $987 out the door for the 275/70/17 with free installation and balancing.

tire shop # 2 quoted me $890 out the door for the same 275/70/17 with free installation and lifetime rotation and balancing and (4) tire certificates which covers free tire replacements caused by any road hazards.. Unfortunately they did not have the 275's in stock, but will only take 1-2 days to get them in.. the 265's on the other hand are readily available for a few bucks less..

As others have mentioned, the E load tires (275) is a definite overkill for our trucks, but I do like the idea of having the "bigger/wider look"..

I just wonder how much of a hit my mpg will take between the two sizes (265 or 275) since the E load 275's weigh 55.4 lbs. vs. the C load 265's 45.7 lbs. according to the BFG website.. that's roughly about 40lbs. extra for all 4 tires if I go with the 275's..
decisions decisions (265 or 275) :annoyed: haha

While not KO2's I have run 265/70/17's and now 275/70/17 and to be completely honest the noticeable size difference is not very big

Thanks for the honest input!:thumbsup:

I just don't want my wheels/tires looking small with my lift.. Im currently looking at the pics on the "lifted on 265's" thread just to get a better idea..

What size lift you got cause I has 3" in front and 2" in back. And this is what it will look like with 265/70/17.WP_20150919_001.jpg

Thanks for the pic.. truck looks great!!:thumbsup:

My lift kit is not yet installed and are sitting in the garage as I'm waiting for my leaf spring recall to get done (hopefully sometime next week as the recall parts have been ordered). However, I went with the Billies 5100 and OME 884 springs set on the "0" setting.. From my research, I should be expecting anywhere from 2.5-2.60" of lift up front as I have a PreRunner.. For the rear, I have the Icon 3 AAL and 5100's.. I might shoot for the 2" lift in the rear to retain the slight rake look..

There's a pic of mine on the previous page with 2.25" front and 1.5" rear lift. I think I have 3/4" of rake in mine. If you get 2.5 inches up front on yours with 2 inches in the rear you should end up with a full inch of rake. I'll try and post aside pic later for you. I like the look on mine, but wouldn't go any taller in the back.

But now I have the Helo 17" wrapped with 285/70/17 bfg ko2s. I think it filled out the extra space on my lift.WP_20160406_001.jpg WP_20160406_002.jpg
