I rechecked the website and not seeing anything that says the switchback prevents hyperflash...I may be getting things mixed up in my head

really switchback means it should have two circuits for parking light and turn signal, since ours don't turn on for parking light, I'm actually not even sure why they would sell switchbacks for our truck...perhaps someone smarter than me can fill in the gaps in my logic.

Yes, got the CK amber bulbs, and checked with Andrew before to confirm needing the resisters. The bulbs work just, just cant seem to figure out how to wire to eliminate the hyperflashing

if you don't get resolution, try getting an LED flasher, my trucks at the shop so can't validate the type of flasher used, but the last gen tacoma seems to be this one (led flasher )

    http://www.amazon.com/2005-2013-Toyota-Tacoma-Signal-Flasher/dp/B00KQUXCNQ

I'm not a fan of the resistors b/c they get hot enough to melt plastic, whereas an LED flasher has no ill effects.

I looked into this as well, however, my truck has the large 18 pin relay that is used in the tundras. The only mod I have found with that are to grind down the resistors per this thread by @TRSAndrew, I have the second type of relay he mentions in his op
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/want-to-change-to-leds-and-dont-want-to-add-resistors.372625/

I am with you on the heat, when I realized I still had hyper flashing, i popped hood to try wire swap, and those things were on fire hot...

I intended to post up a quick picture book for the install once I got it all in and working....but I think I got a bad HD relay :(. When I turn the lights on I get a quick flicker, then nothing. Been through all the standard troubleshooting/part swapping steps. Pretty bummed out at the moment.

However, at least the high beams and fogs are in and working very well!

@TRSAndrew, could you please explain the proper install of the load resisters to eliminate hyperflash, I have still not had success and am considering returning the product if I cant get it worked out for one that I dont have to deal with the hyperflash

Of course. Are you using the bulbs up front or in the tails?

@TRSAndrew Up front, initially wired them, red into green and black into white of the turn bulb wires. That didnt eliminate hyperflash, nor did reversing. Please advise

The resistor needs to ground to the chassis, not to the stock wiring.

Ahh, that changes things! Red to green wire still?

After 900 miles, I have noticed the vibration that others have been complaining of with the HIDs

I don't notice it all the time, the roads in Cali are half decent. But if I was in WV still itd be very annoying.

I will say as an avid car guy the fact that I know it vibrates in bumps does bother me, and I find it distracting when driving.

Just curious, but all the people complaining about the vibrations, is it everybody or mostly just people who live in areas with sub-par roads?

Any attempts to fix it with some type of washer or bushing or something? I forgot all about this until the other night driving home and saw a 2016 Tacoma with HIDs and questioned myself on why I haven't done it yet...
