Has anyone built a subwoofer box for their 1st Generation Tacoma? If so, what worked well? Not a lot of room in the back to work with.

    I'm side-firing a sealed RE Rex 8 v.2

It works quite well & I didn't have to give up much room.

The enclosure is 7.5x15x15 & gives me around .6 cubes inside after accounting for baffle & driver

Securing it there is easy enough

This will be replaced with a Sundown SD10 at some point, as it needs about the same airspace, but I need moar powers first

Those are both good ideas. Thanks. Someone also told me JL makes a stealthbox for the 2004 Tacoma.

There are a few pre-built boxes out there. I forget where I saw them, but I've seen 'em. I have about $30 in this one and I know it's built properly and just for this driver. Who really knows with pre-fab? The JL is likely built well, but I imagine bang for the buck is compromised. Mr Marv here has a solid reputation for building good custom enclosures for Tacos - maybe look him up.
