They'll rub the control arm a little and rub the frame at full lock. But my truck had em for 5 years. Very doable.

STOP hitting the tie rod with a hammer.

You'll just fuck up the threads or the nut.

Go to the store and rent the large pitman puller for free and that will pop it out with ease

I've done a mod or two
Usually just hitting the side of cast part on the knuckle works, not sure why his is so siezed.

@PcBuilder14 Just buy the puller, tools are a good investment.

But but but that's what Low Range Off-road does. Haha once I saw that video and him beating the shit out of it, I knew I'll need a puller

Meh, put the nut on the thread upside down, make the top of the nut (Technically the bottom) flush with the top of the threads and hammer the shit out of it with a BFH after you spray the whole thing with penetrating fluid.

Because he is in Missouri and they salt the roads even if there is a 10% chance of snow like a fat kid pouring powder sugar on his donut. lol

Pitman puller ftmfw. Only like $20 too, keep it in my truck tool box all the time.

    Yeah.
Never said I was hitting the tie rod itself. I'm hitting the flat portion of the lower ball joint that the tie rod is next to.

Got it. Will see if any stores have them later tonight.
For real. Will hopefully be getting out of this state and going to one that is rust free soon.

I did what @95 taco said for the tie rod ends. The uppers in the stock UCAs were a different story...

Is that what stock back spacing is on the stock 5 stars?

Stock on all toyota tacoma 1st gen wheels is 4.5ish''. They are actually metric so its not exactly 4.5''.

Good to know. So I am at 3.75" with my 1.25" spacers. I will be using friends 35's to tub and I wanted to have a good point of reference using their wheels which are 4" BS. I'll basically try with the wheel just on and the spacer on to tub to cover all wheels.

I've got 4" bs wheels and 1.25 spacers and just tub'd driver side. I was just poking around about this a month ago, general opinion seems to be ~3" bs for 35s to clear. I don't rub frame at all, just a small portion of the firewall patch that I need to pound back a little.

You won't be able to run 4'' BS with 35s lol not even close. I rubbed the frame with 33x12.5s with 4'' BS.

Shoot for 3'' at the minimum.

This just showed up. Came with fairly detailed instructions for the installation of the valve and removal of the rear LSPV. Everything seems to be included.
