Hi, first post here and super proud of my white 2016 limited (with towing package). I just bought a new trailer that is heavy in the hitch department. Dry trailer weight is 4,400lbs but I'm told hitch weight is 640lbs aprox. It comes with a WD hitch and some type of sway bars. Today I also ordered the Firestone air bags from etrailer but it will be awhile until I get those installed. Here is my main question, without the air bags installed (yet) am I ok to hookup and tow this home about 150 miles or will I have substantial sag without air bags ? Second question=> when backing this trailer into my downward sloped driveway, will I need to unhook any sway bars or WD bars to prevent any binding while backing downhill? Thank you for your reply's, love this site.

Nice truck. Not sure if the 3rd gen is different than the 2nd gen but on my truck the max hitch weight is 650lbs.

I tow a Jayco x213 that is close in weight to the trailer you're looking at with just a WD hitch (no airbags) and when the hitch is properly set the truck sits level.

Thank you, I've hauled big loads before but not with a Toyota and not with LD hitch so I'm a bit uncomfortable first time out.
It's not so much the trailer weight as the hitch weight of 600lbs+ I'm concerned about. The 2016 has a little more hp and a six speed automatic.
If you get a chance, I would be interested to know if you also have an automatic, tow package and what your hitch weight is.
    Thanks for your advice!

I have an automatic with the tow package but your truck has a different transmission. When towing I keep it in 4 since the transmission heats up when in D (confirmed with an ultragauge).

The dry hitch weight on my trailer is 460lbs but I have 2 batteries and 2 propane tanks so it's probably closer to 600lbs.

In that pic I posted I had another 150-200lbs of gear in the bed of the truck and 500lbs in the trailer. The Taco pulled it from the coast up over Donner pass and was able to maintain 60mph until we hit the snow at about 6,000 ft and traffic slowed.
