How do those from axle sliders work when there that small? Looks like stuff can still hit the forks pretty easily.:notsure:

When the bike falls over, the sliders hit before the bottom of the fork tubes. You don't want to destroy those fork tubes.

The rears just protect the rear axle and snail adjusters

I took pictures of all the old stuff, took it all off, put all the new stuff on, then took pictures of the new stuff.

Brake lines and pads really helped, but its not as drastic of an improvement as i had hoped for.

Now i can lift the rear tire about 4 inches with the front brake. Before i could squeeze it to the bars and it would either slide or keep rolling (at speed)

    So i'm happy thus far.

    Hey buddy,
Just curious do you wear any special type of boots when you're just riding on the road? Or just whatever you wear to work?

    Lol

Ok cool. Yeah I've just been wearing my Romeo's, would be nicer to have above the ankle protection though.
Yeah I have some Forma Terrains Evos that I wear out riding.

been using these opt7 pods on my street legal wr450f for a year without issues and they take a beating. These along with an upgraded bulb (soon to be hid) I have loads of light.

That is fantastic! I haven't seen anyone mount them close to the Rads like that, i guess they'd be pretty well protected. It seems like you wouldn't have enough room for them there when the fork tubes turn.

I think i'm leaning towards one of those polisports with a 6-9" (haven't decided yet) LED bar on top

it looks like to me, when you lay the bike over the fork tube and the radiator plastic are going to smash those pods

I'm willing to bet he checked that he had full turn capability before he mounted them there. If that's the case, then I wouldn't be worried about it hitting at all.

There was lots of space between pods and forks. The factory wr radiator supports which the pods are mounted to go out past them by a little. I also "tested" them

If i were to do again id use the smaller pods with 4 leds because i had to trim plastics and bend rad support some to get them tucked in where i wanted.
