Argh. I can't make this date. I'm hoping this won't be the last one.

Mother's Day weekend is a tough one. Almost as bad as Silver Lake on Memorial Day

I would run 10psi front and 8psi back. On a load range E I have been as low as 5 with no issues. Just make sure to get my phone number before hand and you can roll around with us. We will have a wide range of rigs, I am sure you will find someone that drives at the same pace you are comfortable.

I'm going to try and make it on May 7.

Has anyone in the area done the ECGS front diff bearing replacement?

I'm not going to make it. I have a graduation to attend that day.

It's funny that you ask, I just did that yesterday. FYI I made the bearing removal tool if anyone wants to borrow it.

Is it difficult to do? I've never done anything with a half shaft or CV joints before. I'm starting to get a grumble up front, between 40 and 50mph.

It wasn't too bad. Depends on experience. I replaced the bearing and both cv shafts in about 3 hours in my driveway.

Any idea what a vibration at 20mph when slowing down could be? Happens on the brakes or coasting to a stop. Zip tying the front axle in place stops it, or going into 4HI, so something must be up with the front drivetrain causing it ... Dealership said, "yup, that's a vibration, sorry no TSB yet so we can't fix it ... But you have a warranty for 55k more miles, and we'll probably figure it out before it runs out ..."

    Thanks Toyota ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Still love the truck despite funny little vibration ;) ... If this thing was as rattley as my 98 RAV4 was I probably wouldn't ever even notice lol.

If anyone has heard of something like this with the 2nd gen maybe it might be similar? I read some on the pinion/needle bearing and that seems to be more on acceleration and not just at deceleration. So probably not that, right?

I'm hoping I won't have to replace my CV shaft as well. I only have 33k miles on it.

I think I have everyone that expressed interest in the May 7th Grand Rapids Meet & Greet at 4pm at Gravity Taphouse. Some were questionable.

I'm from Jackson, MI... might be interested, but quite frankly if Saturday is a good day there's a whole lot of other things I need to get done if the weather allows.
