Ok I just got my Stealth 6 Gunmetal's in today. I am having a hard time trying to decide on tires. I am coming out of 18x9 MotoMetal 962's and 33/12.50/18 Toyo MT's. These were put on by the original owner and scrub only while turning into a driveway or at an angle while turning. The lift is a RC but not sure of the height. That being said..... I am trying to decide between 2 tires and sizes.

    1. 285/70/17 Goodyear Duratrac's
    2. 275/70/17 BFG KO2's
    3. 285/70/17 BFG KO2's

I was told that the Duratrac's may look a little wider but not sure. I want the aggressive look but the Toyos KILLED my gas mileage. Also I am wondering if you guys think the 285's would fit since my 33's basically fit. They did trim some plastic but not the CMC.

    Thanks for your opinions....

Not directly answering your question, but from my experience, you have to do your research on the tire materials. Tire material has just as much to do with MPG. I bought a Taco from Carmax years ago and it had cheap SUPER hard tires from China. The truck was almost undrivable in the rain. I was getting about 22MPG with them though. I swapped 'em out for BFG ATs and it went down to 17 MPG. But I had all sorts of traction with them.

Can't go wrong with the ko2's. I would get the 275s u might have rubbing problems with the 285s

That's kind of the route I was headed in. I like the KO2 look. So you think the 285's would rub worse or the same as the existing 33's? I know the offset on the stealth 6 is different than than the moto's to.

These are 275/70 and look really good in my opinion. Hoping mine would look similar. image.jpg image.jpg

The 285's would probably rub just about the same as the 33's, maybe even slightly more. My buddy has 285's on his taco with a 2.5" lift and he still rubs going up driveways and hard u-turns.

That's good to know. Its not to bad a problem around town but getting off on dirt roads, hunting and fishing spots cause issues. Im going to start looking for some tire deals in the next couple of days.

I'm struggling to figure out how 285s will rub more than 33s, when 285s are smaller.

Wow....... Nice rides guys. That red 4Runner is sweet. This has pretty much made my decision hearing the opinions. My kids like the "Bling" of the wheels now and wish they were 22's. HAHAHA. So I had to get my head screwed on straight. I hope to get it done in the next couple of days and post some pics.

I have the 275/70/17 BFG KO2's, and I love them. mud tire look but without the noise or loss of gas mileage.

Are you guys able to run your 275/70/17s without a lift? This is the tire I'm considering down the road, but not sure if they fit under stock suspension.

It's a good thing kids have very little influence on the decisions adults make in our society.

the BFG KO2's in 275/70/17 gets my vote.. Of course I'm being biased, as I picked up a set for my Stealth 6's earlier this afternoon..

I originally wanted the 285's, but after all the research I've done here, I didn't want to do the CMC mod, so I went with the 275's..

Love how the KO2's look for sure!! I just wished that the sidewalls had that "bubbly/bubbled" look like other AT's
    20160504_141419.jpg

they're about 3" taller than my OEM 265/65/17's
    20160504_163139.jpg

Can't wait to throw my lift kit on so I can mount the wheels on!!

Not sure honestly, i have a 3 inch lift on the front and they fit perfectly, but i feel like they might rub a little if you keep the stock height
