Hot chicken. Hattie b's is a good one. Ask around for bbq, somewhere that is older, hole in the wall even. I can't think of anything off the top of my head honestly. theres a cinco de mayo downtown in the gulch that is super good, but I'm sure y'all have super good Mexican food in Cali. What part of Knox are you headed to? Like downtown Knox?

North Knox.. Chandlers in the east Knox area has been a go to the last few times I was out there. Excited to check out Nashville! Bbq will be a must! Our Santa Maria style tri tip on coastal red oak is hard to beat... of course the mex food is the real deal here:hungry:

I don't really have any recommendations on food in Knox seeing as the college budget doesn't allow for much eating out. Hahah. But there ain't much of shit in north Knox. Farragut/turkey creek area has a lot of nice restaurants, mostly chain type stuff. I'd say make the 45min-1hr drive to pigeon forge/gatlinburg for free moonshine tastings and some good food.

I feel like I can't use over the ear headphones because they trap in too much heat. I always feel sick half way through a work out with them on.

Nashville is my favorite place to go if the wife wants to vacation to a city. I've been there for a birthday, to see Garth Brooks, and that's where I went for my bachelor party. If you like BBQ, you gotta check out Martin's Bar-B-Que Joint. You've also got to check out Arnold's Country Kitchen for some real southern food. Of course, we Georgians do it better, but Arnold's ain't bad either  Dunno if you're gonna do any bar-hopping, but the best bar to me is Robert's Western World; they play really good country music and don't really cater to the bro-country shit....it's like an old school country bar. Also, it's not so packed to the gills that you can't hear yourself think. Tootsie's is probably the most popular bar in Nashville, but it's always super packed and they play shitty music...but it is pretty fun.

Nashville is ~ 3.5 hours from me and we've hit it for a few concerts. It's a cool town to walk & bar hop. I've not been since the flood and no food joints pop out in my memory so can't make a recommendation (guess that's not a good sign).

We stayed at the Gaylord when we saw George Straight & I can say, if you're spending any time & you've got the woman or kids, it's a place they'd enjoy.

First exam is tomorrow night. Why they put it on a Friday, I don't know. Next exam is Monday, so I am only gonna be able to get one workout in between yesterday and Tuesday. Can't wait to school is out and I can go back to a "normal" schedule. But then again, that only lasts for a few months before the fall semester starts back up.

Aw c'mon it's not that bad! I've got my last final tonight and I get next week off and then I'm taking a summer class that's only a week long, but it's 9a-5p Mon-Fri. After that, I get the weekend off and then my real summer class starts: 7 weeks long and is Mon and Wed night from 6p-9p. After that, I get a month off and then fall semester starts. If I can make it in the gym with my school schedule, working full-time, and being married, anyone can do it!
