I've been driving toyotas for years, but thus is my first tacoma, and first that's not a standard cab. I'm pretty stoked about it.

I love the Utility Package trucks but can't understand why Toyota would not just paint the front bumper.

    Lol... Keep em coming folks.

I love my utility package, but my girlfriend has a kid. Has anybody heard of anyone installing a jump seat in one.

I leaned towards Aluminum over Steelies, until I did a brake job.
The tolerances associated with these steel wheels are quite impressive.

Nice to see the same design is still available on new Tacomas :)

Can you explain, I'm lost here.
I want aluminum for the weight savings but wonder what you mean.

Well, anything is possible but your challenge is going to be seat belts and regulations I think, but I guess it really depends on what state you live in.

Your going to love the AC man! I had two RCs before my AC and I love my AC a bunch.

But at 6'4" the AC is a dream!

Just impressed with the tight tolerances against the Hub/Axle center flanges.

I don't know why, but the Aluminum wheels simply don't have the same fit.
Maybe because they utilize mag-style lugs, or due to being made from a softer metal?

The steelies are also so much easier to keep clean :)

I'd say all the mounting points are there under the plastic. I should pull some peices off to see. I'm in TN, not much for regulations, we pretty well do what we want.

Thinking about switching wheels and tires with my 84. They're 265 /75 /16's I believe, they measure to a 32/11.50. Those black wheels sure would look good when I get the windows tinted.

TNtrash, I think those wheels would look real nice on the 16.

They would definitely look great. The duratracs have been the best tire I've owned, but way more than I need on the 16. And I'd like to keep the 84 setup to go places the new one will get beat up. I bet they would fit, people have been putting 32's on stock yota forever. I'll probly just wait and buy a set that fall in the middle somewhere, but I can't help dreaming.

I'd do it just to see what it looks like....:D

Whats the offset of the rims on the 84? I'll bet they will look a tad wider as well.

and yes, get them winders tinted...

And if you change the wheels over post some pics up. Should look pretty sick man.

They have the most offset I could get from discount tire. I started with black steel wagon wheels and went through 3 sets trying to find one to fit the 84. I was surprised to have so much trouble with it.
