Fire extinguisher purchased.. built a recycled mount for it and shes in!

I wanted it accessible from drivers seat, and wanted it to be sturdy! It came with a wall mount, I purchased the vehicle mount, which was essentially the same, but with two straps instead of three. I took the one off the wall mount and added it to the vehicle mount for extra security.

It does not interfere with feet/legs at all. The seat slider adjuster is still accessible. the floor mat securing knobs are a little difficult to get to, but I could always just pop out the extinguisher if I had frozen fingers and couldnt get to the knobs. I thought about mounting it on the rear passenger seat platform area where the fridge goes but this is completely unused space... until now. I saw some company makes something similar for at least $100... this was free!

Next project build has been completed!

Roof mounted storage for the topper.

Black tracks are these, 42" long flat surface fiberglass mounting.

Pull the pins and maxtrax drop down and are ready for action. I can probably mount another one or two up there.

Table mounted, nice and secure. Red stopper keeps it from sliding back any, and is the repurposed extra extinguisher mount.

Whoever guesses what the section that is closest to the cab is made from gets a beer! The part that holds the front of the table and maxtrax. I'll post up a better picture if nobody can guess.

Well damn. Guess I'll make you a PB&J since you cant have a beer!

10' of the plastic gutter was under $4, the aluminum channel I was using fit right in the top section and I braced the bottom with some spare conduit.

Cant really see it but... a bike tire tube? Your topper looks well organized. I need to poke my head in there sometime soon to check it out.

EDIT: I was WAY off on my guess.

Thanks, yeah since I use the entire bed for work, I have no choice but to make sure other stuff is out of the way if I plan on leaving it there while using it for work.

Nice work. That gives me some ideas for what im looking for. What did you use for the load bars, it looks like aluminum stock? What topper do you have? Thanks for the link on the tracks.

Correct, just aluminum U/C channel from Home Depot. Not sure but I'd guess it was 3/4" wide x 1/2" tall legs. I was a little worried about the flex it would have with the weight, but its not much at all.

Topper is an ARE topper. Not sure what model, got it used. But its just the standard height one, not any taller than the cab.

I'm still kinda confused about this. Does the additional outlet put out 400W as well? And it only works when the button is pushed? I suck with electrical..

Yes, works just like the one in the bed, only when you have the inverter button on. But it's always 400w instead of bumping down to 100w when you're moving.

So if you have 2 -3 outlets in the cab EACH one would put out 400W?

I'm not that electrically gifted, i can just follow how tos Haha

    I assume :
The inverter puts out a total of 400w, so that would be divided over whatever you plug into it.
