    Front brakes are mostly a breeze... Usually have to bleed off some pressuee though to compress down the pistons enough to get new pads the caliper back on the rotor!

    And its especially harder if you have a bad piston :pout:

    Since we're talking about brakes, when should I do my rear brakes? I know I need front rotors and pads soon but not sure about the rear. Truck has 138k I'm not sure if the rear has ever been changed

    Should be easy enough to check. Pop the drum off and see. Something tells me you are probably due though.

    Since they probably havnt been off in the 138k miles, they may not just pop right off. Drum shoes do not wear nearly like pads do. Unless there is an issue, they are probably fine.

    Mine came off no issue with a couple taps of a rubber mallet and I know they had at least 100k on them. Plus many drums have threads to help you pop them off, not sure if you guys do. Just make sure you release your e-brake before you try to get them off. :p

    It's for a Snow-Sport front mounted aluminum plow.
    They're pretty inexpensive (compared to hydraulic plows), light weight and lift on and off manually - which is no big deal for my narrow but somewhat long driveway. I also lift it up on its carrier, drive off to brothers and do his sometimes (when his FJ is down, as he has the Snow-Sport plow too on it). Mine was $1500 but I lost the 09 Tacoma front hitch trading it in this spring.

    No personal recommendation for rotors. But I like Toyota's pads. Never had a problem with them, they last and don't put out a lot of brake dust. The latter is my favorite part. I despise brake dust. :D

    Toyota pads are not bad for dust. EBC yellow stuff are supper dirty. Worth it though, especially towing or loaded down.
