Here's my one and only Gibson. A 2013 Studio Deluxe. I was a newbie at Les Pauls when I bought it. I didn't know they come with slimmer necks. The neck is too fat for my fingers. Lol

My '11 Gold Top has the '60s slim neck. I wish it had the '50s fat neck. I have scar tissue in my left Palm from a childhood burn, and if the neck isn't J U S T R I G H T, it pains me to play some guitars. I've bought & sold many eBay guitars because I didn't get to try them out before buying, and the necks killed my hands. V-shaped Fender necks are best for my hand.

I sold a 2011 Gibson ES-339 to buy the new Les Paul. The huge 50's neck was the main reason I didn't bond with it. I'm a huge fan of the 60's Slim-Taper neck, and I actually love the tiny '61 SG neck profile even more (Angus Young's SGs have the '61 style necks).

    My collection

74 Ovation Breadwinner, my first electric bought new, my christmas present for 3 years. Keith Partridge's main Axe.
88 Martin J40-MC, why didn't Martin make more cutaways? Taylor filled that gap.
86 Ovation Custom Balladeer, this one loves to be strummed hard.
73 Les Paul Custom, $210 dollars in '81, my favorite. Mid 70s Dimarzio super distortion and PAF.
99 Mexican Strat Special, since swapped to Noiseless.

Nice Ovations! I have a couple Ovation acoustics; one US made and one Korean. Both are phenomenal, but the USA made one (pre-Fender buyout) is just spectacular! I've never played a Breadwinner, but I'd jump at the chance if I could ever get one in my hands.

So, if want a slim neck I need to get 60's neck.

The Breadwinner has a really thin easy to play neck with a full 2 octaves. It does have a bit of a brite sound, somewhat like a tele.

It's no Ibanez neck, but it is slimmer than the '50s style neck.

Nice Ovations. Mine is a Ovation Deluxe Balladeer. Got it when I was like 15 years old. Very deep bowl and will sustain a long sound. The Harmony, I think is about a $30 guitar and I put about $300 into it. It reverbs almost on it's own with the arch top. Gotta love the acoustics.

I've got a Schecter Hellraiser C-1 I'll post in a little while. How's that Marshall Solid State sound? I'm really wanting a JCM 800 or a Vintage Modern.

I think it sounds good. But then again I got it for free, so anything free sounds pretty damn beautiful to me.

i got this guy last week. '97 MIJ Ibanez Talman. first guitar i've owned with a Bigsby and it doesn't suck as much as i thought it would. stock pickups are actually awesome. they are Ibanez Super 58s which i think were made by DiMarzio.

Looks nice! I've never seen that model before. Bigsby trems can be made to work well, especially if you can find a roller bridge that fits your guitar. Still won't stay in tune like a Floyd Rose, but it makes a BIG difference!

Here's the newest addition to my collection: A near mint 1999 G&L Legacy USA. I've been trying to find a good Strat for a while, but had nothing but bad luck with American Fenders. G&L was founded by Leo Fender after he sold off the Fender Co. They were improved versions of his classic designs. This one plays great. The neck profile is a deep-V, which is really weird, but I'm getting used to it.

    nothing cool
I'm sure the obvious guitar influence names will pop up. But mine is Mike McCready. Is he the best guitarist ever? Not even close. Does he ride the 12th fret scale too much? Sure. But when I first started playing guitar I wanted to learn every Pearl Jam song. So he's my biggest influence.
