WTF! alarm goes off when trying to start??

im puzzeled....

My mother needed the truck for the day while im at work so she came by and picked it up. started it and drove off to do her errands. with the spare key.

when she parked, got out and went to the passenger side to unlock and get a bag out the alarm started going off. Now my mother cant even start it without the alarm going off.

I have the clicker thing here, but does that need to be with the car for it to disable the alarm??

What are the details on the alarm? Toyota accessory? Aftermarket?

 

mmm im not sure, i think its aftermarket because of this thread i started, but i never confirmed that.
