So i finally got to test the Laufeen tires out off-road for a weekend at superstition OHV area north of El Centro CA. The area had pretty much all terrain desert, sand, rock, mud. I had my truck fully loaded with people and gear. I can definitely say nothing bad about them. I had no flats. The tires took me everywhere and I never got stuck anywhere. I beat them royally, I even managed to stuff them into the cab mount one time real good with no issues. So If your looking for a cheap upgrade in tires with skipping out on quality I think these are for you.

Any other tire will feel better than the stock Dunflops IMO.

We'll yea but you can buy 2 sets of laufeens before you could buy one set of BFGs at that price.

Hey all, is there any places that I could "trade in" my practically brand new 265/65/17's? Like they buy them from me so I could get some new ATs to replace them? Discount Tire maybe? Thanks for any info!

I don't know anyone who does take offs for trade in. Usually people buy ones they want and sell the take off ones on craiglist.

So I went in to Discount Tire and they said they'd only give me $50 per tire, so credit of $200 towards new set of tires. (Because they're pretty much brand new).

$50-$60 sounds about right. I was happy to let them have my Dunlops. I didn't want to deal with selling them myself.

I'm in need of some inexpensive tires and have had good experience with Hancock. How are the Laufenn holding up after several months of driving? I need these for a work truck on city streets. Am ready to plunk down some cash, just need to know if it should go towards the Laufenn. Thanks

Very good so far I offroad them and there my dd tires too. They have held up great no flats great traction. You can by two sets of xfits for the price of one bfg set.

Now that you've had them a while, did you notice any change in mpg, or anything else? I'm looking at the same tire and up-size for my 4Runner, but slightly concerned with the potential affects from the larger tire.

only noticed that my hwy mileage went up and my city mileage went down light one mpg. So no real change in mileage and alot better tire.

I know this is an older thread..

I installed a set of these on my 2009 Tacoma SR5 access cab 4x4. I was very happy with them for the $$$. Nice tire for the money and decent snow grip on Pennsylvania winter roads and muddy logging trails on state game lands. Just installed a set of Laufenn X Fit HT tires on my 2017 Tacoma SR5 double cab 4x4 and they ride just as nice as the stock Firestones.
