I had a buddy that tried to install his own tint and it turned out awful! Best to let the pros handle it

some of this, a little of that
I see so many cars with the bad bubbles that it was worth it to me to just pay the local shop. That and it came with a warrantee against issues.

Just clicked on the link. His wasn't precut so that would make the job a lot easier but I would still recommend a pro. Plus they almost always come with a lifetime warranty.

Not even close to worth DIYing. The price of a pro tint job is pretty reasonable, the quality of the tint is much better, and it's not really that easy to do either.

For $60 bucks more you save a huge headache, sweat, and cussing. Not to mention a lot of your own time. Everyone has their limit. To me, $60 would be well worth it to save an afternoon, and to have a warranty.

Don't do it. Just take it to the tint shop.
Shop around. Check Yelp for tint deals.

$30k+ for your Tacoma, I wouldn't skimp on the tint. Your going to have to look at it for the next 10yrs or more. My 02

Don't do it... You'll end up with an inferior product and will likely get bubbling like you often see on other DIY tint jobs!

Do it. Bubbled purple tint looks awesome on vehicles people pay a fortune for.

I wish I could find a shop to do it for $160. I was quoted $300 for a DC, front, back and slider.

If you live in Cali don't even bother getting it professionally done. I got a fix it ticket fine and was forced to remove mine last year, rule out here states that only vehicles tinted from the factory can have tint on the front windows .

    Stupid California.

Depends on how dark you do it. If it's a light tint as long as you don't do something stupid the cops will usually leave you alone.

Yeah mine was sorta in between. Had it on for 3 years no problem, until one day it was.
