Iowa Tacomas (Idiots.Out.Wandering.Around)

I plan to do the Iowa jeep show again for sure. I don't know of any other events, but I hope to make it down sometime. Probably won't be until after July though.

 

MIOBI has events memorial day and labor day weekends. There is also an event down at SMORR in September put on by Tornado Alley Cruisers. July is the event in South Dakota that I will be going to again. Like we have done before I can set something up to go to Dan's.

 

When is the show in Nevada ?

 

The Tornado Alley Cruisers event will be held at Flat Nasty Off Road Park instead of SMORR this year Sept 16-18, 2016. We should have our website updated with details and online registration soon. The park is near Jadwin, MO a little south of Rolla and from KC is about 30 min additional drive time than SMORR. Hopefully some of you all will join us again this year. From what I have explored so far it is very comparable to SMORR with the exception of a shower house which should be under construction soon. There are coin-op showers available 2 miles down the road at Jadwin Canoe Rental/Campground in the mean time. Take an extra day and work a float trip in this year with us.

 

On the May 22nd(2 Sunday's from now)Having a small meet in DSM than driving about 45 mins south to some land to do some shooting, and fishing if anyone would like to tag along. Be more than willing to show some how to shoot. I know a couple others are bringing some guns as well if interested. The range can handle anything from a handgun, high caliber rifle, and tannerite. Or for the other crowd a nice little pond and maybe a creek crossing or two if guns aren't your thing.

 

A few of us from Omaha, NE will be meeting up and doing some trailing/Off-Roading this Saturday in Pisgah,IA I've personally never been to that spot but am looking forward to it, just a friendly invite for anyone wanting to hang out.

There is an offroad event this weekend at Make it or Break it (MIOBI.org). Property is private and located near Hamilton Iowa, which is 12 miles or so south of Knoxville off of HWY5. Approximately 300 acres or land with trails from mild to wild. Their website is current down, but they have a facebook page that has the details. Basically $35 a day or non-members or $65 for the weekend. As long as we don't get much rain from now till then I plan on going Saturday for the day. Let me know if interested.

Por15'd my whole frame. First time I've tried this and I like it.

Por15 is not UV stable. We have been top coating our frame off restorations with John Deere Blitz Black. Looks great though! Well done.

 

I rattle canned over it quick.

 

I clear coated my por 15 with the top coat they offer . So I'm at camp Ripley ,MN and I can't decide if I hate it or like it . Down pours than it's blazing constantly changing lol
