Have you removed the seats and center console yet? There are 2 bolts under the center that are sturdy and the mounting points for the seats are sturdy. Going from a couple of those points across the seating area and tying in to the front seat rear mounts would be as sturdy as you could get. I have my dog platform/ storage bin built with wood and only secured to the two bolts in the middle. It's been that way for over 3 years and hasn't budged. I even had to dismantle it last week to replace the cab mount bushings. After a thorough inspection, I just put it back together as it was originally built. I keep thinking about adapting it for a fridge/ freezer, but then I get distracted by other mods.

I've disassembled them in my second gen and the third gen appears to be a complete carry over, and if it isn't it's close enough that it doesn't matter, it's put together the same way. The problem I'm having is trying to figure out a way to actually mount the platform into those holes. I feel like I'm going to need some sort of custom fabricated bracket.

My plan is to leave the center console in place and utilize the rear seat mounting holes.

Look directly above the controller. There's a probe on the roof of the electronics cubby. The temp sensor is held in place with a spray-in type foam product.

Haha. Well I pulled apart my fridge last wkend because these fridges are pretty poorly engineered, I'm going on a long OR trip and I <3 to BBQ & cold beer... Any who, pretty positive it's the temp sensor in the location I described. The wires might of let go from the epoxy backing. In that case you may need a new probe.

i have the 85Qt, so it may be a little different, but I doubt it... I only saw one probe label on the din rail connection at the controller.

I bet it is. The controller is basic w/ no noticeable error display/piezo. Without resistance input from the sensor, the controller probably continually ramps up the compressor/ shuts it down over and over.

It's a good idea. I love my fridge, but it's definitely Chinese engineered. Haha.

I also got a 5 year Squaretrade warranty. It was under a hundred bucks...

Ah shiet. I thought they were connected at the controller? And disconnected at the sensor? Can you give me the m/n on the controller?

Can you take a picture of of green din connections?

Edit nvrmind. My second set of yellow wires is un-terminated like yours. All connections seem like yours. :( It sounds like another issue.

No problem man, I'm happy to help. If you have access to a multimeter, I checked the temp sensor (terminated yellow wires) and it's showing at 6.85 KΩ. @ 60° room temp.

Temp sensors in my experience fail all the time (Expensive HTP SS water heaters) and they're a cheap fix. Good luck.

They may be the same controller used in the Whynter fridge/ freezer unit. For dual sensor input...

When will you be in DV? I'm expecting to be in Bishop around the 7th. Plan on being in DV for at least two weeks.
