First time tacoma owner, first toyota, and first 6 lug vehicle! let the adventures begin!!

I am a wagon guy, mostly subaru. Have a Stage 3 Legacy GT at home but wanted something that the subaru cant do. Wanting to drive where the path isnt paved, not worrying about steel plates in the road because thats a pretty common thing in sf. driving over curbs and being high up with tires that scare bcyclists...

Picked this up last week so Ive been breaking it in and getting compliments everywhere I go.

2016 Tacoma double cab, Off road, inferno w/ tow package, jbl nav package, BSM. Perhaps doing T/A KO2's as the first mod.

let the obligatory GG bridge pictures begin...

Thought I would add to an existing thread rather than starting a new one. I wanted a regular cab manual transmission truck but the breed has become extinct so a new one was not an option. I have therefore acquired a 2013 regular cab 5-speed 4x4 -- my first Toyota -- as my daily driver. (My farm truck is a 1993 Dodge Cummins Turbo Diesel "first generation" that my father purchased new.) My first mod in the Taco will probably be a back-up camera and a fancy Gentex rearview mirror. Am also interested in a Leer cap for the bed.

thanks everyone! Good to see some local taco guys around. I didn't realize how expensive the bed covers or shell caps are...damn. I did low beam HIDs, and doing HID fogs sometime in the near future. Did LED interior bulbs and its so much nicer!

Nice. Is your taco an automatic? Been to SF a few times, no way in hell would I drive a manual in that city. The streets are so steep!!!

It is auto. I debated with the manual but for the most part glad I went with the auto. the streets are pretty steep, Ive usually always had manual cars in the city, I just never went up them. lol

When I worked in San Francisco in the 80's, my work truck was an 85 Toyota pickup with a 4 spd. I'd have to use the parking brake on some of those hills while I released the clutch so I wouldn't roll back. I beat the crap out of that little truck and it never let me down. I guess that's where my affection for Toyota trucks began.

My old subaru legacy had hill hold assist which was pretty cool. really helped on some hills. on the new tacomas, on the manual ones, is that clutch assist button similar to it holding the brake until you release?

Searching through the fourm I was a little confused with the results but just to confirm the brake lights and turn signals in the rear are both 7443's correct? Im doing LEDs soon and just making sure its the same base. I know reverse is 921, which ill be upgrading as well.
