Auto Insurance?

What kind of auto insurance do you have? What are my options?

I will be insuring my tacoma 2014 dcsb trd sport 4x4 in the future once it is shipped over to Oahu and want to see what are my options. I was thinking of just doing collision and comprehensive which covers everything but damage of my fault, depending on price versus full coverage.. I assume the auto insurance on the island is relatively similar to the mainland

I'd recommend upping your limit on personal injury to 100k for others hurt in an accident. I leave my personal injury art just 10k because I have health insurance through my work that'll cover me, but who knows if or what someone else involved in an accident may have. And medical bills pile up so fast. Just an overnight hospital stay with some "tests" can hit 30k. And it's pretty cheap to change this. I also make sure my collision covers 100k for property damage. Many cars are running 70-80k these days.

 

Auto insurance here is no-fault, but it only applies to the medical part. You are required to have at least this and liability insurance. Comp & collision are not required.
