Any fitment issues with the $176 Ebay bumper? The product description states : this "WILL NOT FIT TRD, SR5, or Pre-Runner Models."

The one you are looking at does not appear to be the right one.

This is the one that I ordered http://www.ebay.com/itm/301912644747. The seller phtoyota-scion actually sent me a message asking for my VIN to make sure that it was correct for my truck before they shipped it. It fit perfectly.

Unfortunately, I don't see one for sale on their store. It might be possible to contact them to see if they can get one for you.

Ha! You are right, I'm too trusting but the fear of getting the wrong bumper and the hassle of returning and getting a new one overshadowed good judgement. :)

I guess I don't see what the big deal is? Can't someone just walk up to your truck and look through the windshield on the dash and copy the VIN down? What good does having the VIN do for someone?

I feel the same as you. This is how I feel about covering up license plates. You drive around with them on so what's the use in hiding them in a picture?

Thanks, I was looking for one in black to paint Barcelona Red, but I ended up getting another Chrome bumper from a forum member. The prices I saw were well above these. I gave $100 for a used in good/excellent condition bumper off of a 08 TRD OR. I thought I got a really good deal... now I'm not so sure.

Took it to the dealer so that they refuse to replace my dead battery under warranty, because I have an Aux fuse panel and a breaker installed. Bunch of greedy fucks. Can't even honor warranty on a $100 battery.

True but can't ever be to careful. I have electrical tape over mine. I've had somebody use my Vin to register a car in their name before in the past. Vin# are like socials for vehicles

Did the bumper and the chrome grill surround at the same time. Looks good to me. And it was a very cheap mod.

Got my CO2 tank mounted :kona:. Built up from a tank I had for homebrewing, Gentec regulator off Amazon, fittings I had lying around, and a 25' poly hose from Harbor Freight. Total cost ~$125 including tank and fill. Crappy low-res phone photo:

It's a 10lb tank and fits under the tonneau rail with no rubbing. Faster than a compressor, way cheaper than an ARB setup, and enough PV to run air tools, seat a bead or..

Hmm. I'm sitting here and reading up on Magnuson-Moss warranty act, and looks like the dealer has no leg to stand on here. I asked them if they can prove that my aftermarket aux fuse panel and the breaker caused the battery to fail and he said no. Soo, these fuckers have to honor the warranty.

Cool! I just picked up a can of white Plastidip. How many cans did bumper take? Prolly like 6 thin coats for good coverage?

    Lol. Yep.

I just called my service advisor and mentioned this warranty act. They are going reimburse me to the battery I just bought elsewhere.
