WyoRoam, your index finger and thumb are actually in proper position.
I have the bad habit of putting my index finger on the side. This way feels more comfortable but is wrong. Wrapping your finger under the the club so that it meets up with your thumb, gives you better control and more power.

I got so pissed yesterday after getting stuck in the sand at Chambers Bay that I broke my wedge over my knee while on the course. Time for a new Vokey

 

Seems like buying new wedges is like buying a new computer.... 6 months later something better comes out.

Well the SM family is growing. Picked up a 50*08 SM6 last night.

I played 3 holes in them to take some pictures and video clips for social media stuff.. I did get a birdie on the hole from the clip

Just took delivery of Callaway Apex combo set with Project X 6.5 shafts wrapped with GolfPride MCC +4 Midsize grips. Got them 4-PW. Waiting on my Cobra King Iron 3 iron to come in

 

Took a few years off since I played in school...just ditched my Ping S59 for Titliest AP2's, love them! Hope to at least break 80

I went out yesterday. First time this year with my wedding and not having time. Wasn't as bad as I expected. Although I was pushing right with my irons, driving was good and had a few 300 yard pokes. Chipping was inconsistent but I still shot a +15. For the first time this year I'll take it.

 

I've been playing almost weekly for the past couple weeks. I'm playing Chambers Bay this Saturday which has killed me in the past.
