It seems like a lot of parks around here require a fire extinguisher, and it's probably a good idea to have one handy in general.

What do y'all have in your truck?
    Where do you store it?
    How is it mounted?
Where did you get it, and how much was it?

    Photos are great!

B1. Tried to use the supplied mount to put in on the back of the center console but not even the intense 3M double sided would stick and I didn't want to drill so it just sits in the drivers side rear suicide door. I've seen and heard too many stories of people being trapped inside by fires while they had an extinguisher in the bed, back of they're jeep, etc. All I have to do is reach back and grab mine.

I almost had my off-road truck burn down from a small fire because I didn't have an extinguisher. Since that day, every vehicle I own has one.

For the Taco, I have a Smittybilt extinguisher mounted to the rear tire gate.

I have 4 on and in my truck at the moment and we will be doing a complete fire suppression system soon as well.

Just the essentials and no extra fluff.
I have a 5# dry chemical ABC extinguisher under my back seat. If I had to do it over again I would get a Cold Fire extinguisher.

Do any of you guys that have them mounted outside notice any negative effects on the extinguishers? I have one in the cubby of my access cab door but I'd love to mount it outside. I've heard that the nozzles can get messed up and corroded when out in the elements then not work when needed.

Well, glad I got one when I did.

These folks had one, but it didn't work.

By the time I saw it and stopped, the flames were over the top of the cab. I was able to get it knocked down with mine, but it was another 10 min before Plano FD could get there. We could see their engines, stuck in traffic.

Looks like a cigarette butt might have been flicked and landed in there.
