Has anyone had to replace the front differential actuator on 2nd Gen tacoma? Mine went out around 82,000 miles. This part isn't doesn't have any after market replacement parts, so I had to buy a new entire assembly from Toyota ($378 after tax! ) I didn't want to buy a used one from a junkyard, assuming it will have many miles on it and may be faulty like mine.
If anyone has had this problem, please let me know. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

a lot of times you can pull the actuator out and with some heavy cleaning and resealing it can be salvaged. This is a repair I have had to do on the trail more than once on friends trucks.
