Heres my baby from Tempe Arizona. I was willing to even go to New Mexico for $300 over invoice until they wanted $700 TDA.

No one on here knows what a dealership actually pays for the truck. It's much lower than the listed invoice price and it's different between each dealer.

Manhattan Beach will not sell you a truck for 2k under msrp. Just read the pricing and buying threads to see that they will tell you what you want to hear and then the paperwork will be at MSRP. It's going to happen, especially for a basic truck like you want.

Please keep asking questions before you buy.

    Thanks.

I may check them out and see what can be done by emails and phone. From where I live , dealing with a dealership on the east side would work well.

Just looked at their website. They have 6 Tacoma in stock. It seems to be MSRP. Did you get invoice pricing because you order it? Thanks.

You can go to John elway in Ontario California. I was there today. They're offering great deals. Sticker price and no negotiating at all. No wonder they have 30 Tacomas in stock.

For people trying to get good pricing in az... Shoot me a PM. I got my Tacoma at invoice. I'll give you the contact info for my sales guy/dealership, they made it super duper easy to do everything via email and phone, went in and picked up the truck when it was ready. No drama.

He probably won't budge from invoice, but they aren't asking 500 over it, either.

Costco actually using TrueCar Buying Program and this is something a dealership actually can pre-set the price that would appear in front of the customer. This also apply to other buying services such as Sams or Penfed, American Express ect...

What are you even talking about? One can search for invoice price right on your phone at the dealership. Only an idiot would come in not knowing both invoice and MSRP...

Going through Sam's club true car, which I think is same as Costco, shows a price of $27,150 for a SR5 DCSB 4x2 4cyl. Seems high to me? They say msrp is $26,XXX plus a $900 destination fee. This is presumably before tax, their bs dealer fees etc. Seems way high? I was expecting more like $25k or somewhere in there.

I'm really having a hard time even finding a decent deal around here. Any tips?

After looking at this thread I see where people are buying their Tacoma's through the costco auto program. I am in Coeur d' Alene, ID and my costco dealer near me is Larry H Miller in Spokane, WA. I went there about 2 weeks ago to price a TRDOR, 4x4, Auto, Long bed, Premium and tech and tow package and they told me that the Tacoma is excluded from the costco program. I saw their sheet with the info to see myself. Does anyone know anything about this? I dont mind going elsewhere to use the program but is it different for all dealers?

My understanding is that dealer participation is optional.

Participation in the costco program itself or what vehicles they want to be a part of it?

Maybe I wasnt clear in my explanation. The salesman pulled the costco program sheet out that had all the Toyota vehicles on it which gave the price over invoice that each model was at. All of the Tacoma's were excluded from costco's program and the salesman told me that costco dictates what vehicles are on it and what amount over invoice they will be at. That's why I am confused on how poeple on here are getting them through the program but my local dealer tells me Tacoma's are excluded.

Really depends on where you live. Here in northern California, there are little to none discounts. Some folks had luck buying out of state, but of course there is a bit of hassle involved. I bought from my local dealer near my work for 700 under MSRP. I'm fine with that.

Did you go through Costco's website? For my Tacoma, Costco referred us to a different dealer than our previous Toyota purchase through the program. Not sure why. The dealer we bought from said that they are required to have all of their models in the program. I ended up "ordering" a Tacoma for the Costco price + $500 (ordering fee). If I wanted a truck off the lot, I would have paid $500 less...
